The Medical Front Desk Receptionist provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor’s office. Responsibilities include patient customer service, scheduling, data entry, managing electronic health records, and patient education.

The Medical Front Desk Receptionist supports the office operations, assists with patient interactions, and manages scheduling and record-keeping.

Required Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • 2+ years of administrative support in a medical setting (preferred)
  • Knowledge of health insurance processes, medical terminology, CPT and ICD codes (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic
  • Teamwork, flexibility, and willingness to learn
  • Effective multi-tasking and communication skills under pressure
  • Uphold HIPAA compliance
  • Good judgment and discretion
  • Technologically proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and handle inquiries
  • Answer calls, schedule appointments, and register patients
  • Notify providers of patient arrivals and manage patient flow
  • Maintain and update patient records
  • Collect payments and sell OTC items
  • Manage multiple providers’ schedules
  • Follow up on referrals and insurance authorizations
  • Prepare reports and handle billing issues
  • Perform additional office duties as needed
Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, talk, hear, use hands, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions. Accommodations available for disabilities.
