Reception Position

Hudson Health is actively seeking a passionate and tenacious receptionist for our West Village location. The West Village location houses primarily Extension Health but also Hudson Mind, our interventional psychiatric practice. In this role, you will work as the initial point of contact for our West Village practice responsible for making all patients and visitors feel welcome, and ensuring that our environment is peaceful and tidy at all times. This is a newer practice with a lean team so employees need to be prepared to step up and handle whatever comes up be it grabbing a coffee for a patient or sending out medical records. We are looking for someone who can provide a white-glove patient experience but is still willing to break down a box or empty the trash if it needs to get done. Your primary responsibility is all incoming communications via phone, text and email and in person.This role will be primarily remote but you may sometimes be called in to the office.

Prior experience in the medical field is wonderful but not required. We are interested in individuals with a retail and/or hospitality background who are used to working with high-level clients. The ability to work independently and proactive problem-solving skills are a must. Background or interest in operations is ideal.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling patient appointments based on incoming communications from patients and doctors into our Electronic Medical Record System.
  • Responding to patients within our CRM using call, text, email.
  • Answer basic FAQ questions, facilitate pick ups and shipping
  • Providing pre-appointment information
  • Payment collection.
  • Additional coordination of any information patients need pre or post-appointments.
  • Man the front desk and maintain expertise in our services to answer questions
  • Manage payments for our staff physicians when necessary.
  • Data Management: Record and maintain patient data, scan results, and related documentation accurately. Record payments and communications accurately.
  • Patient Privacy: Adhere to patient privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) to maintain confidentiality of medical records and information.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail is crucial to ensure accurate scan results and patient data recording.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and maneuver items up to fifty pounds.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and ensure quality scans.
  • Team Player: Willingness to do whatever needs to be done to ensure an ideal patient experience.
  • In person - Full Time Role

Job Type: Full-time
