Job description

Christopher’s Reason a high-volume substance use disorder outpatient program is seeking a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be a compassionate, organized, and efficient professional who can create a welcoming environment for our clients, often at challenging times in their lives. This role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks with sensitivity and professionalism in a fast-paced setting. The position is full-time, and the salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Please provide certificates and references along with your resume. Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and check in clients and visitors, maintaining a warm and respectful environment.
  • Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries and directing calls.
  • Schedule appointments and provide reminders, coordinating with clinical staff as needed.
  • Assist clients with intake paperwork and initial steps, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Maintain an organized front desk area, managing files and records efficiently.
  • Support the program team by managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth client flow.
  • Provide translation assistance for Spanish-speaking clients and staff as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative role, ideally in healthcare or social services.
  • Understanding of substance use disorder and mental health services (preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
