We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Part-time Front Desk Receptionist to join our cardiovascular medical office in Bartlett, TN. As the first point of contact for our patients, the ideal candidate will provide outstanding customer service while performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support daily office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
●Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally
●Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
●Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using the electronic medical records (EMR) system
●Verify patient insurance coverage and collect co-pays or payments at check-in/check-out
●Maintain accurate patient records, including updates to contact and insurance information
●Prepare and process medical forms, documents, and correspondence
●Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care
●Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and waiting area
●Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion
●Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the office manager or physician
Qualifications:
●High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or healthcare-related training preferred
●Prior experience in a medical office, especially in cardiology or a specialty practice, is a plus
●Proficiency with EMR systems
●Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
●Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
●Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing procedures preferred
●Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) a plus
●Professional medical office setting
●Frequent interaction with patients, medical staff, and insurance providers
●Sitting for extended periods and occasional light lifting (files, office supplies)
