Job summary

Aloft Houston Downtown is hiring a Front Desk Agent to ensure guests experience a warm welcome and efficient departures. You will handle check-ins/outs, provide information on hotel features, and respond to guest needs promptly.

The role requires excellent communication, a friendly attitude, and the ability to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends. Experience in hospitality is preferred and English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, service, franchise or related field preferred.
• Can-Do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Listening, conflict resolution and clear communication.
• Desire to serve all guests.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Punctuality: clock in/out on time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests enjoy a friendly arrival and departure experience.
• Handle check-in/check-out efficiently and confirm guest satisfaction.
• Be aware of room rates and promotions; maintain the rate schedule.
• Receive and note incoming mail as required per shift checklist.
