Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join the team on a per diem basis. The role rotates through front desk, medical records, and technologist assistant tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality service in a radiology setting.

Essential duties include patient check-in, insurance validation, HIPAA compliance, and coordination with staff to maintain timely appointments. A high school diploma and one year of customer service experience are required.

Qualifications

• One year of applicable customer service experience is required.
• Proficiency with computer systems and typing is preferred.
• Experience in a radiology or healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial point of contact for patients and visitors, creating positive patient experiences.
• Register patient arrival with accurate demographic information and collect out-of-pocket payments.
• Inform patients about delays and follow up to resolve inquiries or complaints.
• Coordinate with interdepartmental staff to ensure smooth appointment scheduling and admission.
• Verify insurance cards, scan documents, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Proficient use of EHR software and related hardware.
