Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Service Representative to manage front desk duties in our urgent care setting in New Lenox. You will greet patients, verify information, schedule visits, and assist with basic administrative tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of medical office experience, and strong communication skills. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are included to support our urgent care scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years medical office experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Some experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Night, weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for front-end desk duties in a medical practice.
• Greet patients and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow at the desk.
• Answer phones and route calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with basic administrative tasks.
