Job summary

Lake Superior YMCA in Hermantown, MN seeks a Part-Time Member Services Representative to greet members, promote memberships and programs, and keep the lobby organized and welcoming. You will interview and tour prospective members, process sales, build relationships, resolve membership concerns, and uphold YMCA policies while delivering outstanding service by phone and in person.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.
• Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service, sales, or related experience; ability to multi-task.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• CPR/First Aid and AED certified. Training can be provided and must be obtained within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
• Interviews and/or tours prospective members; sells memberships; completes merchandise sales.
• Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and to the YMCA.
• Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
• Fold and hand out towels; maintain desk and lobby cleanliness.
• Fosters an inclusive environment and supports equity and diversity.
