Baton Rouge Physical Therapy, part of the Confluent Health family, seeks a Full Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team in Baton Rouge. You will be the heartbeat of the clinic, providing a welcoming first impression and handling front desk duties with care.

This fast-paced role requires calm, professional communication, and strong organizational skills to manage scheduling, insurance, payments, and HIPAA compliance while supporting the clinical team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical front desk or healthcare reception is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Manage front desk operations including check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review and follow up on referrals, gather information, update patient records, and explain next steps.
• Keep patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, cancellations, and follow-ups for future visits.
• Collect copays, balances, and other payments accurately, with basic payment tracking as needed.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation.
