Virginia Heart is seeking a friendly Front Desk Medical Receptionist to support daily administrative tasks, greet patients, and manage front desk duties in a busy cardiology practice.

The role requires strong customer service, experience in medical offices, and proficiency with EMR systems. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; candidates should be organized and able to multitask while maintaining HIPAA privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of receptionist experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Medical office experience in a multi-provider office preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Computer proficiency with good typing skills.
• Prior EMR experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills and pleasant phone manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a courteous, professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to staff.
• Manage front desk operations and phone lines efficiently.
• Register patients in EMR, verify demographics, update records.
• Collect copays and post payments accurately.
• Distribute mail and maintain reception area cleanliness.
• Identify accepted insurance plans and check insurance eligibility.
• Schedule appointments by phone or in person.
