Summit BHC seeks an Intake Coordinator at Bel Aire Recovery Center to manage front-desk activities, triage calls, pre-registration, and insurance verification. You will coordinate admissions and liaise with referrals to ensure timely access to facility services in Bel Aire, Kansas.

The role requires facilitating assessments, coordinating with treatment and admissions teams, and documenting all call activities to support seamless client experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year experience in healthcare admissions preferred, ideally in mental health or SUD.
• Experience in client assessment, referral, treatment planning, and external review communications.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Outstanding interpersonal, interviewing and assessment skills; strong telephone etiquette.

Responsabilités

• Conducts pre-admission assessments.
• Interviews client, family, and collateral sources to verify intake criteria.
• Leads discussions with referral sources for client support and business development.
• Responds to needs of referred clients.
• Assesses family needs for mediation and intervention and identifies appropriate resources.
• Decides which interventionist and facility to recommend, including dates and travel.
• Coordinates with other departments and external parties for timely admissions.
• Documents all admissions activities in the CRM and maintains related documentation.
• Verifies insurance benefits for all private admissions.
• Screens calls from referrals and arranges transportation for admission.
• Maintains a waiting list and stays in contact with potential candidates.
