Carolina TotalCare in Concord, NC is seeking an experienced full-time Receptionist - Insurance Biller. The role focuses on patient flow and financial health of the practice, with duties including welcoming patients, scheduling, verifying insurance, submitting claims, posting payments, and following up on denials to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to use/learn the office billing software, EHR, clearinghouse, insurance portals, phone system, and internal communication tools.
• Dependable, organized, accurate, professional, and comfortable working with billing details.
• Team player who thrives in a structured yet caring environment.
• Outgoing, empathetic, and detail-oriented personality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and coordinate appointments.
• Answer calls and messages and verify insurance benefits.
• Prepare and submit claims, post payments, review account balances.
• Follow up on insurance claims to keep accounts accurate.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and insurers to resolve questions.
• Maintain organized documentation and support patient retention by keeping appointments on schedule.
