Job summary

Avamere Arete at Desert Sage Retirement in Bend, OR is seeking a part-time Receptionist to warmly greet residents and visitors, answer phones, coordinate light clerical tasks, and support daily campus operations.

The role requires excellent communication, ability to multitask, discretion with confidential information, and comfort in a healthcare-adjacent environment. Schedule is 8am-5pm, three days per week, with a friendly, patient-focused team.

Qualifications

• One or more years of clerical experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, resident-focused service.
• Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and maintain records.
• Maintain confidentiality and honesty in all duties.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome visitors, residents, and staff and direct them as needed.
• Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and ensure prompt communication.
• Provide information about the facility, resident status, services and general questions.
• Manage mail, packages, appointments, and light clerical duties.
• Keep accurate visitor records and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and contribute to a positive atmosphere.
• Coordinate transportation, guest meals, and related tasks as needed.
• Ensure information is up-to-date and accessible.
