Job summary

The Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada is seeking a Guest Services Specialist to manage front desk operations, greet visitors, provide program information, and assist with volunteer coordination.

The role supports food pantry operations, community programs, event coordination, and data privacy, requiring strong customer service, professionalism, and a trauma‑informed approach. Starting pay is $41,600 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, nonprofit operations, community services, or related field.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Food Handler Safety Training Card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Proficiency with Volgistics noted.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and front desk during operating hours in a welcoming, professional manner.
• Provide information about programs, services, events, and community resources.
• Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and confidential reception area.
• Assist with program registrations, sign-ins, and navigation for guests.
• Coordinate scheduling and coverage for front desk volunteers.
• Support food distribution and community support programs.
• Ensure accurate records and data privacy.
