Job summary

Pierce County Parks and Recreation seeks a friendly Front Desk staff member for Sprinker Recreation Center in Tacoma. This in-office, temporary position may run up to 40 hours/week for up to 5 months and shifts span 6:45 am–10 pm, seven days a week, including holidays.

You will greet customers via email, phone, and in person; assist with registrations; manage park shelter and field rentals; operate the POS system; handle multi-line phones; help with security; and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and providing assistance via email, phone, and in person
• Assisting with program registrations
• Park Shelter and Field Rentals
• Operate point of sale system and accurately process payments
• Multi-line phones
• Aiding in the security of the facility
