Job summary

Pet Paradise's St. Augustine resort seeks a Front Desk Associate to warmly welcome pet parents and their guests, manage check-ins/outs, assist with bookings, and coordinate with veterinary teams. You’ll handle phones, emails, and POS while keeping the lobby pristine and safe for dogs of all sizes.

Qualifications

• One to two years in a customer service role (Customer Service, Call Center, Receptionist)
• Detailed, but can work with urgency while providing exceptional customer service
• Cheerful, friendly, and a positive team-oriented attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail, especially with documentation
• Enjoys problem solving to provide premier experience
• Position requires physical labor including pet handling, walking, and standing for long periods
• Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and able to lift up to 60 lbs
• Flexibility to resort schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times

Responsibilities

• This is not your normal front desk job! Welcomes pet parents and their pets with a positive demeanor
• Organizing and processing check-ins and check-outs
• Walking pets for drop-off and pickup and coordinating suite placement
• Answering calls, voicemails, and emails in a timely, problem-solving manner
• Completing cashier and point of sale operations
• Communicating with pet parents and resort leadership as needed
• Maintaining cleanliness of entrance, lobby, and restrooms
• Supporting the cat room and resort routines
• Coordinating with veterinary service team on appointment status and arrivals
• Handling harnesses at check-in/check-out
• Setting up suites and ensuring harness knowledge
