Job summary

Paws & Claws Hudson is seeking a Front Desk Associate to warmly welcome pet parents and pups, manage check-ins/outs, and support grooming and daycare operations. You’ll be the first impression, delivering exceptional hospitality and precise service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are dog lovers with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of multitasking while maintaining a calm, solutions-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• A genuine love for dogs and hospitality
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using phones/computers/POS in a busy setting
• Able to interact with dogs of all sizes
• Able to stand/sit for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Flexible weekends/evenings/holidays
• 1 year reception experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with warmth and professionalism
• Check-in/out pets, update profiles, and process payments
• Answer phones with excellent etiquette
• Coordinate with grooming team and manage appointments
• Explain services and updates to pet parents
• Maintain organized, welcoming front desk area
• Record clear daily notes for team communication
• Perform opening/closing procedures and cleaning protocols
• Assist with daycare and kennel areas as needed
• Support overall culture and hospitality
• Ensure pet parents feel confident and cared for
