Riderwood Village by Erickson Senior Living in Silver Spring, MD is hiring an On Call/Flex Communications Specialist (Front Desk Associate). You will be the first point of contact for residents, families and staff, setting a warm, welcoming tone and handling questions efficiently.

This role requires on-call schedule flexibility and availability on nights, weekends and holidays. You will answer calls, route to appropriate personnel, manage resident lists, monitor safety devices, and support

• Receptionist experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct residents, visitors and staff, handling questions efficiently.
• Receive emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel; page on-call physicians as needed.
• Monitor emergency pull cords for Independent Living residents.
• Track status of residents involved in situations and census information.
• Manage resident lists alphabetically and by apartment.
• Maintain accurate census records and log resident mail/packages daily.
• Sort and distribute inter-office mail and notify residents of packages.

Join our team as a ON CALL/ FLEX Communications Specialist (Front Desk Associate), a crucial role within our community. As the first point of contact for residents, family members, and candidates, you'll set the tone for their experience and ensure a warm and welcoming environment.

**The total hours worked per year will vary based on organizational scheduling needs **

How you will make an impact:

• Greet and direct our residents, visitors, and staff, handle questions and concerns efficiently
• Receive emergency calls from residents and staff and dispatch appropriate personnel; page on-call physicians as needed in an accurate and calm manner
• Monitor all emergency pull cords for Independent Living residents
• Track status of resident involved in a situation, i.e. transported to a hospital, etc.
• Manage resident's list, alphabetically and by resident apartment
• Assist with maintaining accurate census information, hospitalizations, deaths, etc., and keeping an accurate list of residents who are away and returning
• Responsible for logging all resident packages and notifying residents of a package pick-up via notice, assuring all mail is dispatched through U.S. Mail at the end of each day, sort and distributes all inter-office mail
