About the Front Desk Associate Role
As a Front Desk Associate, you will be responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests while ensuring an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience!
Daily responsibilities include:
- Greeting members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assisting with questions or concerns during check-in.
- Promoting our Judgement Free Zone by engaging with members on the club floor, offering assistance, and supporting their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
- Resolving member concerns and escalating to a Manager as needed.
- Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with inquiries.
- Performing membership-related functions such as sign-ups, updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships.
- Conducting prospective member calls and tours; assessing their needs.
- Executing retail transactions accurately and driving sales.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all exercise equipment and amenities, including communal spaces and your assigned area.
- Ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked, and clutter-free following routine schedules.
- Performing regular walk-throughs of all club areas to address safety, policy, and cleanliness issues.
- Addressing maintenance concerns like broken or missing equipment promptly.
Qualifications
- 6-12 months of customer service experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided).
- Basic computer proficiency.
Physical Demands
- Standing and moving throughout the club during shifts.
- Communicating in person and via phone frequently.
- Lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Encountering chemicals during shifts.
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facilities regularly.
- Moving and positioning self to complete tasks, including bending and twisting.
