Company Overview

Georgia Eye Partners is a specialty eye care practice in Metro Atlanta comprised of ophthalmologists and optometrists dedicated to providing patients with high-quality medical and surgical eye care. Our services range from general eye care to complex surgical procedures for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, and refractive errors. We also offer LASIK, other refractive surgeries, oculoplastic surgery, and laser aesthetic procedures through OPAL Aesthetics.

Position Summary

The Front Desk Associate provides exceptional patient service both in person and over the phone. Responsibilities include interviewing patients to obtain complete demographic, financial, and insurance information for billing purposes, performing clerical duties, scheduling appointments, processing medical record requests, entering patient data, and accepting payments.

Responsibilities
  1. Display professionalism and provide excellent customer service.
  2. Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
  3. Verify insurance and collect copays, co-insurance, and outstanding balances.
  4. Ensure all patient forms are signed and complete.
  5. Manage communication channels including phone lines, messaging portals, email, and fax.
  6. Schedule appointments.
  7. Process medical record requests according to policies.
  8. Coordinate with clinical staff to enhance patient experience.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • At least 2 years of healthcare insurance experience.
  • Strong computer skills and a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, organized, and quick learner.
  • Professional appearance.
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
