Job summary

UNC Charlotte Marriott, located on the UNC Charlotte campus in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly greet guests and provide accurate information and services. You will be the first impression of the hotel, handling check-ins, reservations, and guest inquiries with professionalism.

Responsibilities include check-in/check-out, cash handling, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The role requires fluent English, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Must be able to use tact and understanding in customer service problems.
• Must be highly organized and pay attention to minute details when performing multiple tasks.
• Must be able to operate cash handling and computerized cash register systems.

Responsibilities

• Greets and completes check-in procedures for arriving guests using manual and computerized methods to ensure guests are satisfied and rooms as requested.
• Facilitates guest check-out by following procedures to close accounts and prepare rooms for the next sell.
• Regularly calculates and posts monies, receipts, guest accounts and other forms of credit using cash handling methods and procedures.
• Answers inquiries and accepts reservations, communicating hotel rates and information and using suggestive selling to increase occupancy.
• Maintains good customer relations with timely and knowledgeable responses, in person and on the phone.
• Operates PBX equipment for incoming/outgoing calls, wake-up calls, and paging guests.
• Controls cash transactions and maintains personal bank as per hotel policy.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
