Job summary

AKA West Palm is seeking a Front Desk Agent to serve as the guests and residents’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. You will register residents, manage reservations, and provide information about suites, rates, and amenities to ensure a pleasant and memorable stay.

Ideal candidates will have strong guest service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be extremely flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and within a team on projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of all matters.
• Oversee lobby/lounge operations of the property.
• Manage day-to-day lobby lounge activities.
• Create programs and promotions to market events and amenities.
• Greet VIP guests and provide special services.

AKA West Palm, is hiring for a Front Desk Agent!

AKA West Palm is looking for a Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests and residents first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. The Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering residents, managing reservations and providing information about suites, rates and amenities. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hospitality industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our residents.

Team Member Requirements:

• Willingness to accept the most effective role.
• Function as a representative of the AKA culture and standards to all Team Members and our residents.
• Maintains regular attendance in compliance with the Korman standards.
• Approach all encounters with residents and Team Members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Promotes a safe, secure and healthy work environment.
• Maintains Resident/guest privacy and confidentiality by protecting all personal information.
• Familiar with emergency and safety procedures for your role.
• Adheres to AKA Image Requirements policy.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects.
• Responsible for maintaining confidentiality regarding all matters.
• Overall responsibility for managing the lobby/lounge operations of the property
• Manage the day-to-day lobby lounge activities
• Responsible for creating innovative programs and promotions to market special events, entertainment, afternoon tea, etc.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Greets the VIP guests and performs special services for VIP Guest’s.
• Checks cleanliness of lobby and public areas
• Co-ordinates with all departments concerned in order to maintain Lobby functions properly.
• Handles guest complaints and other related problems
• Motivates and maintains good Team Member relations.
• Creates positive, memorable, and efficient guest interactions within the hotel lobby and front desk.
• Provides engaging, entertaining, and inspiring guest service; meeting or exceeding property standards.
• Facilitates lobby safety, cleanliness, and security.
• Open vehicle and hotel doors and greet arriving and departing guests.
• Perform check-in and check-out calls, involving luggage handling and the escorting of guests from the front door to the front desk, or vice versa, on a frequent basis.
• Assist guests and visitors entering or exiting the parking garage.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have proficient knowledge of a variety of computer software applications (MSWord, Excel, Access, Adobe, PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Sits, stands, bends, stretches, lifts items and moves frequently during working hours.
