Job summary

Hampton Inn San Jose Cherry Ave is seeking a personable Front Desk Agent to welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out processes with a smile. You will handle guest requests, manage room assignments, and provide accurate information about local attractions and hotel services.

The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-focused, and able to work a part-time schedule including weekends and holidays. Training will be provided to ensure exceptional service and career growth within our TEAM.

Qualifications

• Front desk experience in hospitality is preferred.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will welcome guests, manage their information, distribute keys, and assign rooms, and answer any general inquiries to ensure they have an excellent stay with us.

Requirements:

• Prior front desk experience in a brand setting or luxury hotel environment is ideal, but willing to train the right customer service professional looking to grow their career. We are dedicated to thoroughly training & developing our team into hotel leaders through interactive teamwork in a positive work environment!
• Strong knowledge of software applications is beneficial, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel-specific platforms (OnQ, Opera, Fosse, Lightspeed, HotSOS, GXP, BOB, Kipsu, Slack)
• Strong communication and listening skills and excellent speaking, reading, and writing ability
• Fluency in English: additional languages preferred. Spanish language skills are highly desired
• Flexible schedule required for days, weekends, and holidays
• High energy with effective and influential people skills. Positive attitude and the desire to motivate others
• The ability to prioritize and work on several projects simultaneously should pose a challenge without being overwhelming
• Ability to comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas

$18.00 per hour
