GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Front Desk Agent builds a first impression for the guests by providing punctual, courteous and efficient handling of requests, which include check-in and checkout, handling cashier registers, and answering calls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritize and organize work
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Greet customers in a friendly and sincere manner
  • Checking guests in and out in professional manner
  • Complete registration process working with a computer system
  • Count money accurately and handle cash, cards, checks, vouchers, vigilantly
  • Transmit and receive messages using a telephone
  • Provide satisfactory overall customer service
  • Be of assistance to the Bell person/Shuttle Driver (if applicable)
  • Respond to guest inquiries and in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Provide or obtain accurate information
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: None

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to communicate in the English language
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to stand and exert well placed mobility for up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to kneel, squat, bend, stoop and twist to perform job duties
  • Adequately communicate with guests, management and co-workers
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience in a customer service-oriented role
  • Availability for flexible scheduling(including being open to working first or second shifts as well as weekends and holidays)
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
  • Incumbent may sit or stand for long periods of time at desk.
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required in completion of job duties.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
