Overview

Assist guests with arrival and departure, providing positive guest experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet guests warmly and provide accurate information about services and local attractions.
  • Complete registration using our computer system, confirm guest details, and assign rooms based on needs.
  • Code electronic keys, prepare welcome folders, and verify credit cards for authorization.
  • Handle payments, post charges, and manage guest accounts at checkout.
  • Answer calls professionally, manage messages, and retrieve mail and packages.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring satisfaction and negotiating solutions when needed.
  • Remain calm during emergencies and busy periods, using good judgment.
  • Attend regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Hotel experience is a plus.
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand, move, and use a computer throughout shifts.
  • Ability to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.
  • Effective at building relationships with colleagues and guests.
Compensation and Benefits

Not eligible for tips or discretionary bonuses. HEI offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, paid time off, pet insurance, 401(k) with matching, and hotel discounts. Details vary by location and employment status.
