About Us

Overview

Assist guests with arrival and departure, ensuring positive experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Greet guests warmly, listen and understand requests, respond appropriately, and provide accurate information about outlets and local attractions.
  2. Complete registration by entering and retrieving information from the computer system, confirming guest details, promoting HEI branding, selecting rooms based on guest needs, coding electronic keys, and providing welcome folders.
  3. Verify credit cards for authorization, handle cash and other payments, convert foreign currency, and post charges to guest accounts.
  4. Answer phones promptly, relay messages, and assist with mail, packages, and facsimiles.
  5. Close guest accounts at checkout, ensuring guest satisfaction, and address any dissatisfaction through negotiation and possible revenue allowances.
  6. Handle guest complaints professionally, researching issues and resolving conflicts effectively.
  7. Remain calm during emergencies or heavy activity, using judgment and discretion.
  8. Maintain regular attendance and perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Hotel experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in using calculators for complex calculations.
  • Excellent customer service skills, patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office area.
  • Accurate data entry skills with computer systems.
  • Ability to recognize emergency signs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.

Compensation

Not eligible for tips/service charges or discretionary bonuses.
