Looking for a friendly front desk agent to join our team at Home2 Suites by Hilton Manhattan View Long Island City NY.

Responsibilities
  1. Register and assign rooms to guests.
  2. Issue room keys and escort instructions to Guest Service Agent or directly to guests.
  3. Sort and track incoming mail and messages.
  4. Transmit and receive messages via all communication channels.
  5. Answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, and local directions.
  6. Maintain records of room availability and rates.
  7. Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  8. Make, confirm, and cancel reservations through all communication channels.
  9. Post charges to guest bills when necessary.
  10. Assist with reservations for transportation or entertainment.
  11. Deposit guest valuables in the hotel safe deposit box.
  12. Use office software accurately and efficiently.
  13. Possess full knowledge of each shift, including night audit procedures.
Support Skills
  • Excellent command of the English language for effective communication.
  • Accurate reporting and assistance with office tasks.
  • Adherence to StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Participation in required meetings.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of hotel departments and functions.

  • CPR and first aid training are a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and pull a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Perform pushing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Manual dexterity, hearing, writing, and typing skills.

Salary: $23 per hour.
