Overview

Assist guests with arrival and departure from the hotel, providing positive guest experiences. OPERA experience is a plus. Essential duties include:
  • Greeting guests warmly and providing accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Completing registration, inputting and retrieving information from the computer system, and assigning rooms based on guest needs.
  • Verifying and imprinting credit cards, handling payments, and posting charges using the computer system.
  • Answering phones promptly, taking messages, and handling mail and packages.
  • Closing guest accounts at checkout, ensuring guest satisfaction, and resolving any issues or complaints.
  • Remaining calm during emergencies and heavy hotel activity, using judgment and discretion.
  • Adhering to attendance policies and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Hotel experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with calculator and basic mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and tact.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office area.
  • Ability to use a moderately complex computer system accurately.
  • Ability to observe and respond to emergency situations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.

Compensation

Salary: $16.50 per hour. This position is not tip-eligible or bonus-eligible.
