Summary

The Front Desk Agent is the first person who greets guests when they walk into the hotel. They are responsible for distributing room keys, registering guests, verifying reservations, and helping guests with questions or complaints.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet and register guests in a friendly manner
  • Assist with reservations, pre-registrations, and room blocking
  • Assist large groups upon arrival
  • Help guests find dining, shopping, and other nearby attractions
  • Handle and resolve guest issues promptly
  • Process payments according to procedures
  • Upsell additional facilities and services
  • Perform check-out tasks
  • Ensure all cash, checks, and credit card balances are accurate at shift end
  • Answer guest questions and cater to their needs
  • Communicate internally with departments to resolve guest concerns
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Hotel Front Desk experience preferred
  • Experience with hotel reservations software
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows
  • Outgoing, friendly demeanor, committed to guest satisfaction
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs occasionally
