Job summary

Shade Hotel Redondo Beach is seeking a Front Desk Agent to manage reservations, check guests in, and explain hotel amenities. We value an outgoing, guest-focused attitude and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced boutique setting.

This role requires open weekend and holiday availability, strong communication, and a passion for hospitality. We offer competitive hourly pay, medical benefits contribution for full-time staff, discounts on meals and rooms, and a friendly team

Qualifications

• Prior front desk hotel experience is required.
• Night audit experience is preferred.
• Boutique property experience is a plus.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Manage online, phone, and in-person room reservations
• Welcome guests, check them in, distribute room keys, and explain the hotel’s amenities
• Take payment from customers
• Respond to guests’ issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner
• Explain local amenities and attractions to guests
• Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs
• Arrange specialized services for VIP customers
• Complete nightly audit procedures and balance daily hotel transactions
• Prepare and distribute end-of-day reports
• Reconcile guest accounts, room charges, and payment transactions
• Ensure the safety and security of guests and the property during overnight shifts
• HOURS: AM, PM and MID shifts available; willingness to work any shifts as business volume dictates

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Speak another language. We have a lot of international guests, so speaking another language is helpful but not necessary.

Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Are detail-oriented, organized.
