Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Carlsbad, NM invites a friendly Service Writer to join our front counter team. You will greet customers, explain tire and service options, and create service tickets while coordinating with technicians.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong communication, and comfort with POS systems. You’ll handle payments, paperwork, and maintain neat records in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Previous experience in sales, service writing, or customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS/service management systems.
• Knowledge of automotive or commercial tire services a plus.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Overtime may be required.
