Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Joplin, MO is seeking a friendly service writer to greet customers, explain service options, and create service tickets. You will coordinate with technicians, update customers on progress, and handle payments and paperwork at service completion.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ eligibility, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior sales or customer service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Previous experience in sales, service writing, or customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS/service management systems.
• Knowledge of automotive or commercial tire services a plus.
• Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
