You will handle quotes for special orders, respond to calls and emails, and help maintain accurate stock levels while delivering prompt service and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a customer-facing environment (retail, hardware stores, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work alone under limited supervision or as part of a group.
• Ability to work rotating Saturdays as needed.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Handle counter transactions of in-store goods.
• Process pre-payments for special order items not readily available on the sales floor.
• Stock shelves when needed.
• Prepare quotes for special order items and confirm order acknowledgement with purchasing.
• Answer phones and emails to engage with customers and resolve issues.
• Problem solve to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

The Front Counter Sales clerk will provide a meaningful customer experience in a prompt and professional manner- exhibiting knowledge of our products and pairing the customer with the correct product.

Job Duties

• Handle counter transactions of in-store goods
• Handling pre-payments for special order items that are not readily available on sales floor
• Stocking shelves when needed
• Making sure quotes are completed for special order items and ensuring order acknowledgement has been sent to and received by purchasing
• Answering phones calls and emails to engage with customers and resolve any issues that may be presented
• Problem solving to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy
• Perform other duties as assigned
