Job summary

Lucy’s, a growing from-scratch bakery, is hiring a full-time Baker to join our small production team. You’ll make breads, pastries, cookies, donuts, cakes and plated desserts from scratch for Lucy’s storefront and local wholesale accounts. This Sunday-Thursday morning role features shifts starting as early as 4:30 a.m.

with no night shifts. Training available; strong math and the ability to scale recipes are essential; stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience required.
• Baking experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to accurately scale ingredients and follow formulas.
• Basic math skills.
• Clean, organized work habits.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Dependability, particularly with early-morning start times.

Responsibilities

• Produce breads, pastries, laminated pastries, cookies, donuts, cakes and plated dessert components from scratch.
• Assist with retail baked goods for Lucy’s storefront and wholesale accounts.
• Follow formulas and scale ingredients accurately.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and uphold quality standards.
• Work with a small team to meet production targets in a fast-paced bakery.
