Job summary

Family & Children’s Services in Tulsa, OK seeks a Behavioral Health Aide to support individuals facing mental health or emotional challenges under supervision. You will help implement care plans, facilitate therapeutic activities, and educate families on coping strategies to promote treatment goals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and sufficient college credits or related experience with children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 college credit hours OR up to two years of relevant work experience caring for children with complex emotional needs (one year of experience can replace one year of college, up to two years).
• ODMHSAS Case Manager I Certification must be obtained within 60 days of eligibility.
• Behavioral Health Aide Certification must be obtained after hire if not already possessed.
• Wellness Coach Certification must be obtained after hire if not already possessed.
• Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record required for travel and client transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing care plans.
• Facilitate therapeutic activities.
• Educate clients and families on coping strategies.
• Monitor progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
