Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Cashier to provide friendly, accurate, and efficient service at the front end. You will handle transactions, answer questions, and promote loyalty programs while maintaining a clean, organized checkout area.

Strong communication, basic computer skills, and reliability are essential as you work with customers and team members in a fast-paced retail environment. Previous retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and other technology.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to remain positive, professional, and flexible in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions accurately.
• Follow company procedures for cash handling, returns, exchanges, layaways, and price disputes.
• Educate customers about Rural King Loyalty Program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan (RKPPP).
• Coordinate with loaders and associates to promptly address customer needs.
• Maintain checkout areas, shopping carts, restrooms, and customer service areas clean and stocked.
