Rural King is seeking a Cashier to provide friendly, accurate service at the front end, processing transactions, answering questions, and promoting store programs. You will help maintain a clean checkout area and support teammates.

The role emphasizes training, reliability, and a positive attitude as you learn Rural King's policies and participate in loyalty programs and payment options. This is a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and other technology.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to remain positive, professional, and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Follow company procedures for cash handling, returns, exchanges, layaways, and price disputes.
• Answer customer questions and provide basic product information.
• Educate customers about Rural King Loyalty Program and RK Visa.
• Respond to store calls using professional phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with loaders and associates to promptly address customer needs.
• Reconcile registers and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain checkout areas and keep them clean and stocked.
• Participate in cross-training and support other store departments as needed.
• Use POS systems and office equipment.
