Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is hiring a full-time Retail/Cashier in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing transactions through a POS system, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor. Evening and weekend availability is required to meet store needs.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with product selection, processing purchases, and supporting visual merchandising efforts while upholding safety and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred or combination of education and work experience.
• Experience in customer service or retail is a plus.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service and assist customers on the floor.
• Greet customers, make eye contact, and thank them at checkout.
• Engage with customers on the sales floor and offer help as needed.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately per cash handling guidelines.
• Maintain store appearance and rotate stock as needed.
• Follow store cleanliness and safety guidelines and report issues to management.
