Allen County Public Library’s Woodburn Branch is seeking a Part‑Time Branch Assistant to provide friendly, helpful service to our community. You’ll check materials in/out, assist with requests, and help with cards and program information.

The role is onsite, 28 hours per week, with a schedule that supports weekend and weekday coverage. We value teamwork, inclusion, and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and library systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Check materials in and out and help patrons locate materials.
• Assist patrons with placing and picking up requests.
• Help people apply for library cards or replace lost cards.
• Answer questions about programs, services, policies, and facilities.
• Provide assistance in person, over the phone, and by email.
• Process fees and payments when needed.
• Identify returned materials that need attention.
• Use library computers, technology, and automated systems.
• Keep the branch welcoming, organized, and ready for the community.
