Job summary

Par Pacific HELE convenience stores in Honolulu are hiring a Customer Service Associate / Convenience Store Cashier to greet customers, ring sales, and maintain store standards. The role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy at the POS, and adherence to safety and cash handling policies.

Candidates should be able to stand for shifts, handle cash and card payments, and work varied hours. The position includes a $3.00 shift differential eligibility and a competitive hourly range in Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales and handling cash preferred.
• Perform basic math accurately.
• Ability to communicate in English (orally and in writing), including proficient telephone communication skills.
• Ability to work various shifts as scheduled, and arrive on time.
• Ability to work with equipment, tools and materials as required.
• Ability to perform essential duties and work in the conditions as described.

Responsibilities

• Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service; may be required to assist customers at the gas pump.
• Accurately ring up all sales on POS system, comply with cash handling procedures including other payment types.
• Responsible for all cash and other forms of tender, e.g. coupons, credit card transactions.
• Comply with company policies and store procedures, including safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for receiving, stocking & organizing merchandise.
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits.
• Adopt, comply with, and participate in safety programs and trainings, attend mandatory job-related meetings/trainings as needed.
• Perform cleaning duties necessary to maintain site cleanliness inside and out, and basic upkeep and/or cleaning of all equipment on the site.
• Assist with identifying equipment problems and report as needed.
• Perform all duties with minimal supervision, may work flexible hours, attend job-related meetings and other duties as assigned.
