Job summary

Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. operates HELE convenience stores in Hawaii. The HELE Customer Service Associate / Convenience Store Cashier role in Hilo provides friendly service, accurate cash handling, and stock control to support daily store operations.

You'll work with a team to uphold fast, clean, and kind service, manage POS transactions, and assist with inventory and safety procedures while delivering a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales and cash handling preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English (oral and written) and work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service; assist customers at the gas pump if needed.
• Accurately ring up sales on POS; handle cash and other tender per procedures.
• Maintain cash handling procedures, including coupons and card transactions.
• Comply with store policies, safety, and environmental rules.
• Receive, stock, and organize merchandise; help manage inventory and audits.
• Participate in safety programs and trainings; attend required meetings.
• Perform cleaning duties to keep the store tidy and operate equipment as needed.
• Identify equipment problems and report issues.
• Work with minimal supervision and flexible hours as needed.
