Responsibilities

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle various tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, complex loyalty offers, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Create welcoming environment and assist customers with questions about products and store.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts constructively.
• Protect customer and business information with integrity.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed.
• Provide support to minors, people with special needs, and older adults.
• Capable of performing essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
