Job summary

99 Ranch Market in Edison, NJ is seeking a part-time Seafood Associate to set up fresh seafood cases, ensure proper signage, and provide exceptional customer service. You will help unload deliveries, rotate for freshness, and assist customers with seafood selections in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have seafood experience, understand quality control, and can work weekends or rotating shifts. Training in equipment operation and safety procedures is provided to ensure product

Qualifications

• Previous seafood department experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of general seafood product lines or similar experience.
• Available to work on weekends and holidays or rotating schedules.

Responsibilities

• Set up fresh seafood cases and ensure proper signage and merchandising.
• Keep aisles clean and free of debris to prevent accidents.
• Unload deliveries and refill products to meet customer needs.
• Skin, clean, and cut fish upon request; fryer/steamer use as needed.
• Use equipment safely and maintain logs per policy and health regs.
• Stock and distribute items; follow FIFO and monitor temps in coolers.
• Proactively assist customers and provide excellent service.
• Work with team for monthly inventory counts.
• Maintain cleanliness of seafood tanks and equipment.
• Follow safety policies and sanitation standards for displays and counters.
