99 Ranch Market in Edison, NJ is hiring a Part-Time Seafood Clerk to set up and merchandise seafood displays, assist customers, and maintain quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include cleaning tanks, rotating stock, and assisting with inventory and special requests.

The role requires ability to work weekends/holidays, stand for long periods, and lift up to 30 lbs. Previous seafood experience is preferred, with a pay range of $15.92–$17.00 hourly.

Qualifications

• Requires proper training and knowledge of equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Set up fresh seafood cases with proper signage and merchandising.
• Maintain clean aisles and working areas.
• Unload deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO.
• Prepare seafood (skin, clean, cut) and fulfill customer requests (fry/steam).
• Use equipment safely and keep logs per policies and health regulations.
• Monitor cooler/freezer temperatures and preserve freshness.
• Provide proactive customer service and assist with inquiries.
• Assist with monthly inventory counts.
• Inspect seafood quality and remove unmarketable items.
• Cut, wrap, and pack items per customer requests.
• Perform other duties as needed.
