Job summary

Tawa Group dba 99 Ranch Market is seeking a Part-Time Seafood Department Associate in Jersey City, NJ. You will set up seafood displays, assist customers, and help maintain product freshness and safety in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Responsibilities include merchandising, stock rotation, customer service, and daily cleaning. Prior seafood experience is preferred, weekend or holiday shifts may be required. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in a grocery or seafood department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up fresh seafood cases with clear signage and attractive merchandising.
• Keep aisles clean and free of debris to ensure safety.
• Unload deliveries and restock items, rotate stock for freshness.
• Prepare seafood upon request (clean, skin, cut) and operate fryer/steamer per instructions.
• Log equipment usage and follow company policies and health regulations.
• Monitor cooler/freezer temperatures to comply with standards.
• Engage customers and provide excellent service.
• Assist with monthly inventory with team members.
• Maintain cleanliness of seafood tanks and equipment.
• Clean walk-in cooler and display cases as required.
• Cut, package, and label items accurately for customers.
• Perform other duties as needed by the business.
