Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member to support the seafood department, performing counter service, stocking, and sanitation duties while upholding the company’s standards and customer service expectations.

You will assist with displays, labeling, inventory checks, and safe handling of seafood, smiling and engaging customers, and working a flexible schedule including nights and weekends to ensure a fresh, high-quality seafood counter.

Responsibilities

• Maintains fresh, appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases stocked, and rotating products.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Skins, bones, and cooks or smokes fish; boxes up, labels, and dates cooked fish.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends required trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs promptly.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
