Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a Seafood Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the seafood department.

You will help maintain displays, signage, and pricing while ensuring a safe, clean shopping environment and delivering excellent customer service. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to health and safety regulations, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality and stocking.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment.
• Assists with sampling program; keeps sample areas full and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains.
• Skins, bones, and cooks or smokes fish; boxes up, labels, and dates cooked fish.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time; works all shifts and attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights & Measures, health and sanitation, and safety practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment; ensures equipment is safe.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; verifies pricing and signs.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
