Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Seafood Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the seafood department. You will help maintain fresh displays, assist with sampling, and ensure a clean, safe work environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include trimming and cooking fish, labeling products, inventory checks, and timely reporting of hazards. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases clean and stocked, rotating products, filling ice tables.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors and drains as required.
• Skins, bones, and cooks or smokes fish; boxes up, labels, and dates cooked fish.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; completes scheduled shifts and trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service, answers phones promptly and courteously using suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including health and sanitation and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment and equipment per standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store leadership.
