Job description

Reliability Supervisor

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 plus discretionary bonus. Final compensation will depend on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees.
• Inspects work for completeness.
• Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used; transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary.
• Keeps timecards and other routine records.
• Coordinates, installs, inspects, repairs, and maintains fresh fruit packing equipment and related systems.
• Coordinates, inspects, operates, and maintains heating, cooling, ventilation, and boiler systems.
• Coordinates and inspects major contract work on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other related systems.
• Assigns and prioritizes work based on production demand, food safety risk, and equipment criticality.
• Provides technical guidance, coaching, and oversight to maintenance mechanics.
• Ensures breakdowns and emergency repairs are executed safely and efficiently.
• Ensures employees are trained and following all company mandated programs including OSHA safety programs and GMP policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Reliability Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with employees and vendors/contractors.
• Ability to install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, and other related systems.
• Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Ability to update inventories and other supplies as needed.
• Ability to inspect, operate, and maintain heating, cooling, ventilation, and boiler systems.
• Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions.
• Blueprint and schematic literacy (mechanical and electrical).
• Understanding of CMMS functionality and application.
• Thorough knowledge of occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for safe performance of duties.

Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED, or related technical field. At least two years of education and training beyond high school level in industrial maintenance and reliability, or a closely related area. One year of experience in maintenance operations including two years in a supervisory capacity. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position may also be considered.
