Job summary

The Wonderful Company is seeking a Reliability Mechanic to oversee and perform maintenance, tooling changes, setup, and repair of electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems in the Beverage department. Safety and quality are integral to all tasks performed by the team.

Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Roles may be based in Plant 1, Plant 2, Arils, or Scholar Department within the Fresh Department.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED with two years of education beyond high school in general maintenance and repair.
  • One year experience in maintenance operations including two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety programs (OSHA) and food safety procedures are followed.
  • Inspect, install, repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related systems in the Beverage department.
  • Transfer equipment between projects and keep PM records up to date.
  • Inspect major contract work and assist with new installations or changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

POM Wonderful delivers healthy products from tree to table, famed for its iconic double‑bubble bottle. We grow, harvest, package, and market fresh pomegranates, pomegranate arils, and a selection of pomegranate‑blended juices and teas.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Reliability Mechanic is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, performing tooling changes and setup, installation and repair of electrical (minor electrical), plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and other production/processing equipment. They evaluate problematic systems or facilities and determine the necessary installation or repair services. They may be assigned to Plant 1, Plant 2, Arils or Scholar Department, all part of the Fresh Department. Safety and Quality considerations are integral to all tasks performed by them or their team.

Compensation - $22.00 - $30.00. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.

Job Description
  • Ensure all company and OSHA safety programs are followed.
  • Ensure all GMP policies and Food safety procedures are followed.
  • Ensure all required GFSI, FDA, USDA, Third Party Audit, and company procedures related to food safety are followed.
  • Inspects work for completeness and informs supervisor when job assignments/PM are complete and ready for inspection.
  • Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfers equipment between projects as necessary.
  • Keeps routine records and PM records up to date.
  • Installs, inspects, repairs and maintains electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related systems in the Beverage department.
  • Inspects major contract work on mechanical and other related systems and assists when necessary to understand new installations or changes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with colleagues and vendors/contractors.
  • Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related systems.
  • Ability to perform various clean‑up and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Ability to update inventories and other supplies as needed.
  • Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions.
  • Thorough knowledge of occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions.
  • Ability to weld MIG/TIG, stick, and sanitary.
  • Ability to follow all food safety programs and policies.
Education & Experience

High School or GED or related technical field. At least two years of education and training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related area. One year experience in maintenance operations including two years in a supervisory capacity. Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
